                                        Meet Fr. Bob Lacey

                                        Hi, I’m Fr. Bob Lacey!

I come from a rural farm family north of Sioux Falls, SD.

It is a great pleasure for me to be in this Siouxland parish of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, nestled near Sioux City between the banks of the Missouri and Big Sioux Rivers.   In fact, it brings me back to home as we drew water for irrigation from the Big Sioux!  In our parish, there is great cultural diversity: we have members from many walks of life and ethnic backgrounds.  This great variety reflects the very life of the Church, the very reason she calls herself ‘Catholic, for to be Catholic is to have a universal embrace!

Mother Teresa is our patron – she invites us to meet the poverty of every time and place in our parish – not only the financial poverty so apparent today but even the spiritual poverty that every person faces.

I look forward to being a bridge across the waters of poverty to the riches of Christ’s holiness.

                                        Mother Teresa, pray for us!
